Résumé

The Bible reader is confronted with a dilemma of faith in the amount of violence that the holy Scriptures quote, in a revelation that appeals to the compassionate God's revelation. However, the image of the violent God is not absent from the imagination of the Jewish people; that’s why we find it important to address this issue and tackle it in detail, especially as it is considered as the weak privilege that comes from all those who want to criticize Christianity and its Bible. Between fiction and objectivity, this book tries to find the spiritual seeds of some of the texts that dealt with the subject of violence in both the Old and the New Testaments.
